One Way Taxi from Delhi — pay for the road you actually travel
Gayatri Tours & Travels runs a dedicated one way taxi fleet from Delhi to 17+ destinations — Agra, Jaipur, Shimla, Manali, Haridwar and beyond. No return-leg charges, no forced round-trip billing. You book one pickup, one drop, one fair price.
Get your one way fare
Instant estimate on WhatsApp — no app download needed.
A travel consultant confirms your fare and driver within 15 minutes during business hours.
You pay only for the 233 km you actually travel — the driver’s empty return isn’t on your bill.
Built specifically around the one way trip, not adapted from a round-trip fleet
Most Delhi cab operators quote a one way fare by simply halving a round trip. We run pricing, driver rostering and vehicle positioning as a dedicated one way operation — which is the only way the math genuinely works in your favour.
Real one way pricing
Our fare engine accounts for driver repositioning separately from your trip — you never silently pay for the return leg baked into a “discounted” round-trip rate.
Verified, route-tested drivers
Every driver on outstation duty has logged at least 3 years on highway routes and passes a document, license and background check before onboarding.
Fuel type disclosed upfront
We tell you whether your assigned vehicle is CNG or diesel before you book, since it affects highway refuelling stops on longer one way routes.
17+ routes, not just 2 or 3
From 3-hour hops like Delhi–Mathura to 12-hour hill routes like Delhi–Manali, our one way network covers pilgrimage, hill station and business corridors alike.
GST-compliant billing
Every trip comes with a proper GST invoice on request — useful for corporate reimbursement and something most unorganised operators can’t provide.
A human answers, not a bot
Our booking desk is staffed 24×7. If your flight lands at 2 AM or your plan changes mid-route, you’re talking to a person who can actually act.
What a one way taxi actually is — and what it isn’t
A one way taxi is a point-to-point hire: you’re picked up in Delhi, driven to your destination, and the booking ends there. You don’t hold the car, you don’t pay for a return journey you’re not making, and the driver isn’t waiting on your itinerary at the other end.
It’s different from a round trip, where the same car and driver wait for you (or return on a fixed date) and the fare bakes in both legs. It’s also different from a local rental, which is billed by hours and kilometres within one city, and from a shared cab, where you split a seat with strangers on a fixed schedule.
One way taxis exist because a large share of outstation travel genuinely is one-directional — you’re flying back, taking a train, staying at the destination for a while, or continuing onward by another route. Paying for a phantom return trip in those cases is money spent on an empty seat.
Who actually books one way
- —Flyers: drive out to a hill station, fly back from the nearest airport.
- —Pilgrims: one-directional trips to Haridwar, Vrindavan or Ayodhya, returning by train.
- —Relocators: moving belongings and family to a new city with no return leg at all.
- —Corporate travellers: one-way transfer to a client site, return via a different mode or date.
- —Students: heading to or from a hostel city at the start or end of a term.
How empty-return pricing actually works
why a one way fare isn’t — and shouldn’t be — half of a round trip fare.
The driver still has to get back
Unless another passenger is booked from your destination back to Delhi, the driver drives the return leg with an empty car. That cost is real — fuel, toll, time — and operators recover it somehow.
Where the recovery happens
Some operators fold the full empty-return cost into your one way fare, making it nearly as expensive as a round trip. Others average it across their whole network, so a popular return-heavy route (like Delhi–Agra) subsidises a quieter one.
If you’re planning to explore the capital before or after your trip, check out our Delhi taxi services options.
Why our fares are lower on busy routes
On high-frequency corridors — Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh — we usually have another booking heading back to Delhi within hours, so the empty-return cost is genuinely shared, not charged twice to one customer.
In practice: expect one way fares on popular routes to run roughly 45–55% of an equivalent round trip fare, not 50% flat — and expect quieter or hill routes with fewer return bookings to sit closer to 60–65%, since the empty leg is harder to offset. Any operator promising an identical percentage discount on every single route, regardless of how busy it is, is simplifying the maths in a way that usually isn’t accurate.
Which one actually fits your trip
Neither is universally “better” — it depends entirely on whether a return leg is genuinely part of your plan.
| Factor | One way taxi | Round trip taxi |
|---|---|---|
| You pay for | Only the distance you travel | Both legs, even if you return differently |
| Best for | Flying/training back, relocating, one-directional pilgrimage | Same-day or fixed-date return by the same car |
| Typical cost vs round trip | ~45–65% depending on route demand | 100% (both legs charged) |
| Driver waits at destination? | No — trip ends at drop-off | Yes, or returns on your fixed date |
| Flexibility to change return plans | Full — no return commitment exists | Limited — return is pre-booked |
| Ideal trip length | Any — from 3-hour hops to 12-hour hill routes | Multi-day itineraries with sightseeing stops |

Exactly what goes into your one way fare
No lump-sum “package price.” Here’s every line item, so you know precisely what you’re paying for before you book.
Included in the base fare
- — Driver allowance for the full one way journey
- — Fuel for the distance travelled
- — Vehicle usage up to the standard per-km slab for your route
- — Up to 45 minutes of pickup-point waiting time
Billed separately (at actuals)
- — State entry tax / interstate permit, where applicable
- — Highway toll charges
- — Parking, where the destination charges it
- — 5% GST, shown as a separate line on your invoice
How we calculate your fare
Base fare = (route distance × per-km rate for your chosen vehicle) + driver allowance. On hill routes, we apply a hill surcharge to that per-km rate to reflect slower average speed and higher fuel consumption on gradients — we disclose that surcharge upfront rather than hiding it in an inflated flat rate. Toll, state tax and GST are added on top and itemised, never bundled into a single “all inclusive” number that hides the breakdown.
If you’d rather not track toll and tax separately, ask for our toll-inclusive fare at booking — it costs slightly more per km but gives you one final number with no on-road settlements.
From message to pickup in four steps
Share your trip
Send pickup point, destination, date and preferred vehicle over WhatsApp or a call — takes under a minute.
Get an itemised fare
We reply with base fare, toll/tax estimate and total — no vague “starting from” figure with hidden add-ons.
Confirm with 10–15% advance
A small advance locks your vehicle and driver. UPI, cards, netbanking and cash are all accepted.
Driver details, then pickup
You receive your driver’s name, photo, vehicle number and live location before pickup time — no last-minute surprises.
What “verified driver” means in practice
Document verification
Driving license, vehicle registration, permit and insurance are checked before any driver is onboarded, and re-verified annually.
Route experience minimum
Outstation and hill-route drivers need a minimum of 3 years’ highway driving experience before we assign them long trips.
GPS-tracked every trip
Every one way journey is tracked from pickup to drop, so we — and you, if you request the link — can see live progress.
Women traveller safety
On request, we share driver details with a second contact of your choice and can prioritise drivers with a longer service tenure for solo women travellers.
Senior citizen support
Drivers are briefed to assist with luggage and boarding, and we default to lower-clearance sedans unless an SUV is specifically requested.
24×7 highway assistance
A breakdown or emergency mid-route connects you to our support line, which coordinates a replacement vehicle if needed at no extra cost to you.
A car that’s clean on day one and mechanically sound on day 300
Every vehicle undergoes a documented service check every 5,000 km or 60 days, whichever comes first — brakes, tyres, AC, and fluid levels are logged, not eyeballed. Vehicles older than 8 years are rotated out of outstation duty and kept, if at all, for short local runs only.
Interior sanitisation happens between every outstation trip, and tyres are checked for tread depth before any hill route — a detail that matters more on the Manali and Dalhousie climbs than it does within city limits.
Maintenance checklist, every trip
- ✓ Tyre pressure and tread depth
- ✓ Brake and clutch function
- ✓ AC performance and cabin air filter
- ✓ Spare tyre and jack present
- ✓ First-aid kit and fire extinguisher stocked
- ✓ Interior cleaned and sanitised
- ✓ Fuel/charge sufficient for the full leg without a risky stop
What one way riders actually say
“Booked a one way Innova to Nainital for my parents — driver called an hour before pickup, arrived on time, and the fare matched exactly what was quoted on WhatsApp. No last-minute toll surprise.”
“Needed a Tempo Traveller for a 14-person Vaishno Devi group. The pushback seats made the 11-hour drive to Katra genuinely bearable, and the driver knew the route well enough to plan our meal stops.”
“Used them for a client pickup in the E-Class — car was spotless, driver was in proper uniform, and they sent the GST invoice within a day for our reimbursement. One star off only because pickup was 10 minutes late.”
“First time booking a one way cab alone as a woman and honestly the driver details being shared with my brother beforehand made a real difference to how safe I felt.”
“Flew back from Manali so didn’t need a return car — saved a good amount compared to what other operators quoted for a round trip. Fortuner handled the hill roads well.”
“Booked Delhi to Mathura for my grandparents — driver was patient, helped with the wheelchair, and the sedan was comfortable for the short trip. Would book again.”
Destination-specific advice that actually helps
Agra
Start by 5–6 AM to beat both Delhi’s morning traffic and the midday Taj Mahal crowds. The monument is closed on Fridays — confirm your date before booking.
Jaipur / hill routes
Carry a light jacket even in summer once you’re past Dehradun or Chandigarh gaining altitude — evening temperatures drop faster than travellers expect.
Haridwar / Rishikesh
If you’re timing your trip around the Ganga Aarti, aim for a 2–3 PM pickup from Delhi to reach before the 6 PM ceremony with a comfortable margin.
Manali / Dalhousie
These are 11–12 hour drives — request an early morning start (5 AM) so your driver isn’t navigating unfamiliar hill curves after dark.
Katra (Vaishno Devi)
The last stretch to Katra is a long single-lane climb; book an SUV if you’re carrying more than hand luggage, since boot space matters more than usual here.
Ayodhya
It’s a genuine 11-hour one way drive — many riders split it with a driver-change option or an overnight halt in Lucknow, which we can arrange on request.
Booking checklist
- ☐ Confirm exact pickup address, including landmark, for driver navigation
- ☐ Share flight/train number if pickup is timed to an arrival
- ☐ Confirm vehicle type matches passenger count and luggage volume
- ☐ Ask for the toll-inclusive option if you’d rather not settle tolls on-road
- ☐ Save your driver’s number once shared, before travel day
- ☐ Carry a government ID — some interstate checkpoints request it
- ☐ Confirm whether your route needs a hill surcharge disclosed upfront
Cancellation, refunds & payment
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 6 hours before pickup. Cancellations within 6 hours incur a partial deduction from your advance to cover driver repositioning; cancellations after the driver has started toward pickup are non-refundable.
Payment options
UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking and cash are all accepted. A 10–15% advance confirms your booking; the balance is settled with the driver at drop-off or paid online in advance if you prefer a cashless trip end-to-end.
Everything riders ask before booking a one way taxi
It’s a point-to-point booking where you pay only for the pickup-to-drop journey. There’s no return leg, no return fare, and no obligation for the car to wait at your destination.
Almost always, but not by a fixed percentage. On high-demand routes like Delhi–Agra it’s often 45–55% of the round trip cost. On quieter or hill routes with fewer return bookings, it may sit closer to 60–65%, since the driver’s empty return is harder to offset with another passenger.
Because the driver still has to physically return the vehicle to Delhi. If we don’t have another one way booking on the return leg, that cost has to be recovered somehow — which is why fares vary by how frequently a route runs in both directions.
Sedans suit 1–4 passengers on routes under 300 km. SUVs are better for hill routes, larger luggage, or 6–7 passengers. Tempo Travellers make sense for groups of 9 and above. Our booking desk can also recommend based on your specific route and headcount.
Not by default — they’re itemised separately at actuals so you can see exactly what you’re paying for. If you’d prefer one flat number with no on-road settlement, ask for our toll-inclusive fare option at booking.
Yes, 5% GST applies and is shown as a separate line item on your invoice. A GST-compliant bill is available on request, which is useful for corporate travel reimbursement.
Same-day booking is usually possible for popular routes. For weekends, festivals, or hill routes during peak season (May–June, October), booking 2–3 days ahead gets you better vehicle availability and rate certainty.
No. A 10–15% advance confirms your booking. The remaining balance is settled with the driver at drop-off, or you can pay the full amount online in advance if you’d prefer a cashless trip.
UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking, and cash are all accepted, both for the advance and the balance payment.
Free cancellation up to 6 hours before your scheduled pickup. Cancelling within 6 hours incurs a partial deduction from your advance. If the driver has already started toward your pickup point, the advance is non-refundable.
If you share your flight or train number at booking, we track it and adjust the pickup time automatically at no extra charge — this isn’t treated as a cancellation or rescheduling.
Yes. Every driver’s license, vehicle registration, permit and insurance are verified before onboarding and re-checked annually. Outstation drivers additionally need a minimum of 3 years’ highway driving experience.
Yes, every one way journey is tracked from pickup to drop. You can request the live tracking link to share with family or colleagues.
On request, we share your driver’s name, photo and vehicle number with a second contact of your choice before pickup, and can prioritise drivers with longer service tenure for solo women bookings.
Yes — let us know at booking and we’ll brief the driver to assist with luggage and boarding, and default to a lower-clearance sedan unless an SUV is specifically needed.
Call our 24×7 highway assistance line. We coordinate a replacement vehicle to continue your journey at no extra cost to you.

Yes, across all major Delhi NCR railway stations. Share your train number and PNR-linked arrival time so we can adjust for delays.
Yes — many of our one way bookings are corporate transfers to client sites or airports. We provide GST invoices, can set up monthly billing for regular corporate accounts, and offer sedans through luxury vehicles for executive travel.
Sedans comfortably fit 2 medium bags, SUVs fit 4, and Tempo Travellers have a dedicated rear luggage bay. If you’re carrying more than usual, mention it at booking so we assign the right vehicle.
Yes, with prior notice at booking so we can assign a suitable vehicle and inform the driver in advance.
No separate night charge is added to your base fare for scheduled night pickups. Our booking desk and driver support operate 24×7.
Short stops for meals, restrooms or sightseeing are generally fine — mention your plan at booking so the driver can factor it into the schedule. Extended detours may attract additional charges depending on distance added.
Both, depending on the vehicle and route. We disclose the fuel type of your assigned vehicle upfront, since CNG vehicles may need brief refuelling stops on longer routes.
On hill routes like Manali, Shimla or Dalhousie, we apply a modest surcharge to the per-km rate to reflect slower average speeds and higher fuel consumption on gradients. It’s disclosed as a separate line, not folded invisibly into a flat rate.
Yes, for 10+ hour routes we can arrange a driver change or an overnight halt on request, which improves safety on long single-day drives.
Our primary base is Delhi NCR, but we also run one way trips originating from Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad to the same 17+ destinations.
Tempo Traveller fares are calculated per vehicle rather than per seat, based on distance, route and seater size (9, 12 or 16). We quote this directly rather than asking you to multiply a per-seat rate.
Yes — date, time and vehicle changes can be made up to a few hours before pickup depending on availability. Contact our booking desk directly for the fastest turnaround.
Yes — driver name, photo, phone number and vehicle registration number are shared before your scheduled pickup time.
Yes, a GST-compliant invoice itemising base fare, toll, tax and GST is available on request, typically within 24 hours of trip completion.
No fixed minimum, though very short distances under roughly 50 km are usually better served by a local rental package, which our booking desk can advise on.

Yes, on request at the time of booking, subject to availability for your chosen vehicle category.
Yes, 24×7, though we strongly recommend booking 3–5 days ahead during Diwali, New Year and the May–June hill season, since vehicle availability tightens significantly.
Yes, for most routes, subject to vehicle availability at the time of your request. Popular routes like Agra and Jaipur typically have same-day availability even on short notice.
Yes, up to 45 minutes is included in your base fare. Extended waiting beyond that may attract a nominal charge, which we’ll confirm with you before applying it.
